WARNING: Please don't click on the "next blog" link at the top of this page!

Recently I have learned that some nefarious netizens have been using Blogger-based blogs to serve adware and spyware (via embedded Javascript code in their blogs). So, to alert my readers - all two of you - I caution you to NOT use the <next blog> link in the Blogger toolbar at the top of this or any blogspot.com blog. This link would take you to a random blog page which could very well be an adware/spyware infested site. More info on the situation can be found here: http://news.com.com/Spyware+infiltrates+blogs/2100-7349_3-5587710.html

When making my last post, I believe I encountered what may be some of these types of blogs... ones that seemed to serve merely as link pages to other "stuff." Apparently my PC was not infected (according to a couple anti-spyware programs), but I will not use the "next blog" link again. This is a sad state of affairs. That one must be wary of where they go on the otherwise magical web is a sad comment on our how elements of our society can twist and warp a good thing. And often in the name of "making a buck." Sad.
